The Wild Garden Group Show

Being given the same brief, to take inspiration from the wild garden and to produce artwork based on it, showed us the massively varying perceptions of the same theme. Some saw it as an opportunity to record the garden changing through the months, others were drawn to particular details and zoomed in on a single flower or a snail. It was great to see the connotations the spirit of the garden brought to the mind such as dancing, ballerina, flowers. We also exhibited some of the preparatory drawings created for the mural.

Mosaic clubhouse held their portrait drawing workshop in the garden. Changing the setting brought out new skills in the artists and we heard a powerful piece of spoken word relating to one of the portraits.

The artist talk was a relaxed conversation highlighting the meaning of being an exhibiting artist for those participating.
