PHOTOGRAPHY AND MOVEMENT

Featuring the work of Adriana Zúñiga Velásquez, the workshop will explore how photography can capture movement and the relationship between our emotions and movements.

DRAWING PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE

Featuring artist Natasha, the workshop will explore techniques in portraiture and what it means to depict people in our life.    There will be exploration into expressing relationships and bonds through portraiture and a project to pursue after the class.

ABSENT FROM YOUR ART

Workshop exploring what is absent and what we can engage in and how this is represented in our art. The workshop will explore experiencing and marking gratitude.

USING RED IN ART

Using inspiration from artworks which use red for different purposes, the workshop will explore how we can use red to describe our intensions.

TRANSFERRING CONCEPTS TO CANVAS

Irina uses oil painting to gradually conceptualise and transfer personal experience to the canvas. She states that 'the sincere expression of personal experiences at the time of their most striking manifestation demonstrates the influence of expressionist artists on my art. Like Edvard Munch or Egon Schiele, I pour out the most complex and controversial points and moments in life onto the canvas’.

Taking inspiration from various sources and artists, the workshop will present and explore ways of putting concepts into artworks.

BEAUTY IN NATURE

Where does inspiration come from?  Nature? Humanity? Or both?  If everything is processed through our experience, how do we experience nature? A talk and discussion about using nature to inspire art and historical examples varied ways of describing the natural world.

LIVING AND CREATING WITH DISABILITY

This workshop will revolve around fantasy mapmaking-inspired drawing project, of paths, obstacles, hopes, dreams and realities.  There will be discussion but no pressure to share work or thoughts.
